The 3 most common eye-opening burn out symptoms

I had to travel to Disney World… YES, you heard me right! 😊

For the last 5-6 months, I have noticed that the person I have become is not me. I had much less energy than before, had more negative thoughts and negative energy, started to be cynical. My creative thoughts have disappeared as well as my enthusiasm toward my work. I came to be silent, feeling overwhelmed when I was about to open my IG/LinkedIn/etc. and struggled with migraines almost on weekly basis.

It took me some time to realize what am I facing. I started to go down on the road of being completely burned out.

What are the signs of starting to be burned out?

  • Emotional Symptoms of Burnout: growing sense of failure or hopelessness, doubting yourself or losing your sense of self-worth. You might have negative/pessimistic thoughts, your motivation decreases.
  • Physical Symptoms of Burnout: your sleeping patterns might change as well as your eating habits. You may notice more headaches, migraines and/or your immune system might show signs of weakening as well.
  • Other Symptoms of Burnout: you might become frustrated with work and/or your social life, starting to self-isolate yourself.

The good news is, there is always a possibility to change this. The first step is to notice the signs and then create an action plan by yourself or with a help of a professional.

For me taking some time off and traveling to Disney World (my happy place) helped.
