What is Life Coaching? How could it help you?

When I first heard about life coaching 10-15 years ago, I was puzzled what it could be. You might have the same experience as well. Let me help you by explaining what life coaching is and what it is not.

When you feel stuck achieving your goals, be they personal or professional and do not know how to get from A to B, a Life Coach can really help. A Life Coach will listen to you, identify your ‘stopping factor’ and help you find solutions as well as working with you on how to stay motivated to achieve your goals. Along the way you will build your self-awareness to develop further and ensure you have the skills to motivate yourself. 

Life coaching is distinct from giving advice, consulting, counselling, mentoring, or administering therapy.

How does a coaching journey start?

A coaching-coachee relationship is based on trust and confidentiality, that is why it is especially important to find out at the beginning, if we are suitable to work together and if I can help you to achieve your goals and dreams.

To identify it, I offer a complementary 15-minute Intake session via online (zoom, skype) or over the phone. Please note this is not a coaching call, however it gives us the opportunity to discuss your goals and dreams as well as talk about how I could support you planning to achieve them with the right tools. After this short call we will be able to decide how to proceed further and you will be able to choose the most suitable coaching package for you.

Next Steps

After we have agreed to work together and have chosen the most suitable package for you, our journey toward achieving your goals and dreams starts! We will discover your limiting beliefs, introduce the concept of self-awareness and work toward achieving your goals. I will ask you the questions and probe your answers which will help find the tools for you. You will become more self-aware and self-confident by the end of our sessions.

Packages and sessions
  • 1 on 1 session
    • individual one occasion
    • 3 sessions – Face2Face or Online package based on the topic you bring.
  • Work-Life Balance package
    • An optional 15-minute Intake session to find out how coaching could support you.
    • A questionnaire to awake your thoughts around your goals, challenges, achievements and what you would like to develop further.
    • 5 Face2Face or Online fortnightly sessions across 3 months (or based on agreement).
    • An optional review halfway through the package or whenever is needed throughout the process.
    • Once a week check-in email to see how you are getting on with the action plan (optional).
    • Different tools provided throughout the session.

Can you identify them if they are good or bad ones?
Do you know how to implement a new habit to your daily routine?
Do you know how to change your habits and become happier?

What habits are?

Habits are those tasks, behaviours that we automatically proceed sometimes even without realising them. These can be such as watching TV after dinner or simply how we brush our teeth. We perform tens, hundreds of habits each day (often without realising them).

Now that you know what habits are, it is time to become more aware of them. Once you understand your own habits, what triggers them, you can start to implement new ones and change the old, bad habits that does not serve you anymore.
